Qala Sanskriti, created by Sanskriti Arts, has launched a special collection of hand-painted sarees made by transgender artists and over 150 artisans from across India. This is not just about fashion. It is about dignity, creativity, and giving a voice to communities that are often left unseen. Sarees That Tell a Story Every saree in the Qala Sanskriti collection is carefully hand-painted. The designs are inspired by Indian folklore, nature, and the real-life experiences of the artists. Each piece reflects identity, strength, and culture. These are not factory-made items but individual works of art filled with emotion and purpose. According to Tejasvani Prabhakar, co-curator of the collection and a well-known LGBTQ+ rights advocate, “Our transgender artists have put their soul into these creations. This is not a handout. This is recognition and respect. First, to provide sustainable jobs and training for transgender artists and artisans, allowing them to earn fairly and grow their skills.
